My elderberry patch has gotten absolutely massive! If you are interested in growing your own elderberry patch, I can send you some elderberry cuttings.
I will mail out green sticks with instructions, and you can simply plant them in the ground, and expect a harvest of elderberries next summer. 
Elderberry is an excellent plant for beginner gardeners. It requires very little upkeep. It can grow well in most any soil type, anywhere in the continental US, and doesn’t require special fertilizers. As long as it gets lots of sunshine and lots of water, it will do well.
