Have you ever mowed over a yellow jackets nest while cutting the lawn? I did this past summer.
Thankfully I had this salve on hand and was able to apply it right away. It pulled the venom right out and I had no more pain within 5 minutes. It's also great for acne, splinters, infections, and so much more. Basically anytime you need to pull something out from beneath the skin.
What makes this stuff work so well?
Pine Tar-
Pine tar has been shown to be antipruritic, meaning it's purifying!
Plantain-
Plantain can draw out poison. Plantain has long been considered by herbalists to be a useful remedy for cough, wounds, dermatitis, and insect bites.
It is high in vitamin A, allantoin, apigenin, aucubin, baicalein, linoleic acid, oleanolic acid, sorbitol and tannin which all promote wound healing, speed up cell regeneration and have skin-softening effects. It can be used to treat skin disorders such as wrinkles, skin allergies, and acne.
Calendula
Calendula can be used to relieve many types of skin conditions that may cause dry, itchy, or irritated areas. It soothes eczema, dermatitis, and dandruff. By promoting the production of collagen, an essential protein for glowing skin, Calendula aids in sustaining soothed, hydrated skin.
Calendula has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds and relieving diaper rash. It can help calm redness and inflammation and ease skin discomfort.
Myrtle-
Containing many powerful antioxidants, tannins, and known for its astringent properties, Myrtle essential oil has been found to effectively clear up acne and other skin problems. Its compounds help skin cells to heal faster, help to treat oily skin, tighten pores and reduce irritation.
Lemongrass-
Tones and purifies the skin while its anti-inflammatory properties relieve redness, itching, and swelling.
