We highly recommend that everyone keeps this kit on hand during seasons that your family will be spending time outdoors. It includes a 1 ounce tin of our Drawing Salve, and a one ounce bottle of our Usnea tincture. Use a tick spoon or tick key to pull off the entire tick, then apply drawing salve 2x daily for 3 days. Take the Usnea tincture by mouth 2-3x daily for 2 weeks to support the immune system.
Usnea has been shown in studies to be just as effective as the primary antibiotic commonly used to treat tick bites and Lymes.
Usnea is also commonly used to aid weight loss, soothe sore throats, accelerate wound healing, and reduce pain and fever. Some people even suggest it may help fight certain types of cancer.
It has been shown in studies to reduce inflammation, speed wound healing by increasing the body's own collagen production, and even protect against staph bacteria.

Pine Tar- has been shown to be antipruritic, meaning it's purifying!
Plantain- can draw out poison. Plantain has long been considered by herbalists to be a useful remedy for cough, wounds, dermatisis, and insect bites. It is high in vitamin A, allantoin, apigenin, aucubin, baicalein, linoleic acid, oleanolic acid, sorbitol and tannin which all promote wound healing, speed up cell regeneration and have skin-softening effects. It can be used to treat skin disorders such as wrinkles, skin allergies, and acne.
Calendula- can be used to relieve many types of skin conditions that may cause dry, itchy, or irritated areas. It soothes eczema, dermatitis, and dandruff. By promoting the production of collagen, an essential protein for glowing skin, Calendula aids in sustaining soothed, hydrated skin.
Myrtle- Containing many powerful antioxidants, tannins and known for its astringent properties, Myrtle essential oil has been found to effectively clear up acne and other skin problems. Its compounds help skin cells to heal faster, help to treat oily skin, tighten pores and reduce irritation.
