It's made with:
Peppermint
Peppermint's cooling effect helps to soothe pain and reduce inflammation, and it also provides a pleasant flavor. It also helps to break up and expel mucous
Mullein leaf
Mullein is an expectorant, which means it helps the body expel excess mucus, usually by making your coughs more productive, to bring up mucus that may be settling in the chest or in the throat. It is also a demulcent, which provides soothing relief to the mucous membranes. Both qualities make it useful for soothing irritation of the lungs, throat, and bronchial passages that may otherwise lead to difficulty breathing. Scientists studying medicinal herbs in test-tube studies have been encouraged to see that mullein may have some strong antiviral effects. One study showed it was particularly useful against the influenza virus. Mullein is used for whooping cough, tuberculosis, bronchitis, hoarseness, pneumonia, colds, chills, flu, fever, allergies, tonsillitis, and sore throat.
Marshmallow leaf
This has long been used to treat coughs and sore throats. It contains a gelatin-like substance called mucilage that coats and lubricates the throat when a person swallows it. It may also help soothe a dry cough and inflamed lungs, and can even help with gut inflammation.
Echinacea
Echinacea contains active substances that boost immune function, relieve pain, reduce inflammation. Echinacea may strengthen your body's immune system, helping you fight colds and flus caused by viruses or bacteria.
Elderberry
Elderberry is full of potent antioxidants that have immune supporting properties. Elderberries support the body’s natural process of resolving excess phlegm.
Raw Honey
Honey helps to soothe sore throats and help alleviate a cough. Research shows that honey has some antimicrobial and anti-inflammation properties. Honey can help by decreasing inflammation and irritation in your throat. It also provides a pleasant sweetness.
