Sourdough foods are an excellent option for those who want to protect their gut health, and those who are sensitive (but not allergic) to gluten or wheat. The fermentation process breaks down the glutens and starches, making them much easier to digest and also much more nutritious.

If you order active liquid starter, you will receive about 1/2 cup of liquid sourdough starter, freshly fed with organic whole wheat flour and locally sourced and filtered spring water. You will need to open and feed this starter right away.

If you order dehydrated starter, you will receive about 10 grams of dehydrated starter that can be stored away in a cupboard for months before being used, or can be rehydrated and used right away. You'll also get simple instructions on how to rehydrate it.

If you feed this starter with flour and water at least every other day, you will be able to bake delicious goods with it for years to come. We enjoy making it into breads of all kinds, pizza crust, pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls, fresh pasta… the possibilities are endless.

At request, we will send you basic info for caring for and baking with your sourdough starter as well. You can also find a bunch of unique and delicious sourdough recipes in our Facebook group, Judah's Haven Wellness Library.
