The ingredients –
Chamomile
Several studies have linked chamomile tea to reduced severity of menstrual cramps. Women in the study also reported less anxiety and distress associated with period pain.
Chamomile tea can lower blood sugar, suggesting that chamomile could improve diabetes outcomes.
Other studies show chamomile could help promote bone density, reduce inflammation, and fight infection.
Some studies suggest that chamomile tea may target cancer cells, or even prevent those cells from developing in the first place.
Chamomile tea is widely used to help people relax and fall asleep quickly, and even to reduce anxiety.
Evidence also suggests that inhaling a steamy cup of chamomile tea can help relieve cold symptoms.
Lavender
Lavender is known to promote a restful, calm mind. In one study, adults who drank lavender tea twice a day for 2 weeks experienced lower levels of anxiety and depression. Another study showed reduced headache severity and frequency with lavender tea.
Lavender has also been shown to reduce allergy symptoms, and it’s one of the things that helped me ditch my monthly allergy shots.
Valerian-
First off, I use the valerian leaf from my homegrown plants, not the root. The leaf is milder and safer for kids. Research suggests valerian may help improve sleep quality, reduce anxiety, improve symptoms of OCD, and reduce hyperactive behavior in children.
One study showed that taking valerian helped reduce both the severity and frequency of hot flashes in people going through menopause.
