Description

A tincture is an infusion of an herb or herbs, for medicinal use. Certain preparations of liquids are used to extract the beneficial plant compounds out of the plant solids. My tinctures are highly concentrated so a few drops goes a long way. To use a tincture, simply add a few drops to a glass of water and drink it. All of our bottles are labeled with instructions.

This blend is made of herbs that can help promote an increase in lactation. If you are breastfeeding and struggling with milk supply issues, give this a try. It makes a great gift for expectant mothers, as it is also very beneficial to use throughout pregnancy.

The ingredients-

Fennel

It promotes lactation, and can also help with bad breath, digestion, and respiratory ailments. Anethole, present in fennel seeds, stimulates the galactagogues (substances that promote lactation) to increase milk secretion. Many studies suggest that anethole mimics the action of the estrogen hormone and promotes lactation.

Red Raspberry Leaf

Red raspberry leaves are rich in vitamins and minerals. They provide B vitamins, vitamin C and a number of minerals, including potassium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus and iron. However, their most notable contribution might be their antioxidant properties.

It’s often referred to as the woman’s herb.

Some research supports the anecdotal evidence of women saying that the leaves help relieve PMS and pregnancy symptoms such as cramping, vomiting, nausea and diarrhea.

Red raspberry leaves contain fragarine, a plant compound that helps tone and tighten muscles in the pelvic area, which may reduce menstrual cramping, prepare the womb for birth, and even ease postpartum recovery.

It can strengthen the uterus, improve labor outcome and prevent excessive bleeding after childbirth. Some studies show that red raspberry leaf can help shorten labor when used throughout the third trimester, as well as a reduction in the likelihood of pre- and post-term labor.

Red raspberry leaf is also loaded with iron, which is especially important during pregnancy and bleeding cycles.

Alfalfa

It's full of nutrients like vitamin K, copper, folate, and magnesium. The anti-diabetic and diuretic properties of alfalfa keep the spiking sugar levels under control, which may help prevent gestational diabetes. Alfalfa is rich in phytoestrogens that can help boost milk supply while nursing.
