This healing soap is one of the key factors that helped my son Isaac’s severe eczema. It’s scent is floral and earthy and it has a beautiful moisturizing lather, and simple gentle ingredients that help soothe the most sensitive skin.
This goes hand in hand with my Baby Body Butter.
The Star ingredients-
Pine Tar
Pine tar is made from pine tree resins and has a strong pine scent. Lending it’s deep brown color to the soap, pine tar has been shown to be antipruritic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal. These properties make pine tar suitable for the topical treatment of eczema, psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis and other dry, itchy, flaky or inflamed skin conditions. It works by causing the skin to shed dead cells from its top layer and slow down the growth of skin cells.
Lavender
The word lavender comes from the Latin root “lavare,” which literally means “to wash.” Lavender was first used as a bath additive in ancient Persia, Greece, and Rome. These cultures believed that lavender helped purify the body and mind.
Lavender contains two inflammation-fighting compounds called linalool and linalyl acetate. A 2020 study suggests that these may provide relief for skin issues, such as:
